Some WBDA alumni returned to represent Wayne at the Lincoln Midwest Invitational Tournament on March 9th and 10th.
A group of Wayne sophomores competed in a 9/10 grade division, competing in a four-team, round-robin bracket along with Falls City Sacred Heart, Walthill and Sutton.
Wayne opened the tournament with a 40-36 win over Walthill and followed that up with a tight 28-24 win over Sutton.
On the final day of competition, Wayne took on Falls City Sacred Heart and came away with a 57-16 win to go 3-0 and take home championship honors.
