The Wayne freshmen boys basketball team competed in the Midwest Invitational Tournament in Lincoln March 14th and 15th. Competing in an 8-team division, Wayne started the tournament off with a 57-22 win over Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on Saturday. Moving into Sunday, Wayne suffered a close 43-38 loss to the Norfolk JAM BEES before responding with a 44-41 win over Walthill in the consolation game to take bronze medal honors.
