Wayne State College held their annual Girls High School Varsity and Junior Varsity summer basketball league from May 31 through June 28. This year the WBDA Wayne 8th grade (2017/18 school year) girls’ team entered into the Junior Varsity division. They competed against teams from Laurel-Concord, West Point, Homer, Pender, Howells-Dodge, Wisner-Pilger, Randolph and Crofton. The 8th grade team had great success competing against the Junior Varsity teams finishing the league with 5 wins and 5 losses, of which were never more than 9 points.
