Saturday, March 4, the 7th grade boys WBDA team competed in the Hop’s Hoops Classic in David City, NE. The 7th grade division included two pools of teams. Pool A included David City Aquinas, Seward and West Point. Pool B included Legends Silver, Ashland and Wayne. Wayne finished pool play beating Legends 30-13 and losing to Ashland 56-45. With the 1-1 record in pool play Wayne was set to play Aquinas for 3rd place. Wayne competed hard throughout the game and finished with a 46-26 win and 3rd place in the tournament.
