The 7th grade boys WBDA basketball team competed in their home Clash of the Plains Tournament on Sunday, February 15th, 2026. Wayne competed in a six-team division along with, Cedar Catholic, Guardian Angels Central Catholic, Norfolk Catholic, Wakefield and Wisner-Pilger. Wayne opened up pool play with a 37-16 win over Wisner, and followed up with a 71-41 win over Guardian Angels Central Catholic. With a 2-0 finish in pool play, Wayne advanced to play in the championship game where they faced Norfolk Catholic, where the Knights would come away with a 41-29 win to give Wayne runner-up honors.
