The 8th Grade Girls WBDA basketball team took runner-up honors at the Girls Hoopstock Tournament in Blair on Sunday, January 29th. Wayne started out with a 39-21 win over the Gretna Flames to advance to the championship game. Wayne battled in the final in a tight defensive contest with Blair White. Blair broke a 14-14 tie with a minute to go with some clutch free throws down the stretch to win 18-14, giving Wayne runner-up honors.
